BUILD: 33,000 Pounds of Steel
The long-awaited delivery of the mezzanine parts pulled in on Wednesday and after an afternoon of truck unloading, our crew set to work on the build. With three days of assembly behind us, the structure has taken on its fundamental shape and the new fitness barn is starting to look like something!

The vertical relief that the mezzanine provides is the central piece of the entire conversion of this space into our future fitness center. And today begins the scramble to prepare for incoming use, with our GMXF Classes from 652 Granger as the first to arrive… July 1st! We’ll be looking to create our 1st story layout that allows for 12 person classes and a functional fitness Open Gym area on the side of the barn closest to the parking lot. Once this is in, we move on to the other half of the fitness space and finally the second story.
And with that comes the preparations for the big move! This Sunday, Monday and Tuesday our operations will be shut down at the old gym as we take three days to rebuild our new environment. While we will have no “workouts” programmed, we’ll have lots of work to be done. We hope you can find time to apply your energy to some lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling during these three days. This is the “Heavy Lift” we’ve all been training for!
