Week of Work (WOW) Wednesday – 2/5/20
Space for private changing rooms
This week Tom and Mark and their crew got to work on the women’s locker room. They spent hours (and hours and hours) pulling up the carpet in preparation for the new flooring that will be put in place in the coming days. They’ve also been updating some fixtures, painting the walls, and giving the whole space a nice shine!
They’ve removed a bank of lockers in the back room of the locker room to clear space for a few single-occupancy changing areas. We know that our members’ privacy preferences vary, so this space will allow for a more discrete locker room experience.
The flooring process on that side will unexpectedly take an additional day, which means the women’s locker room won’t re-open until Tuesday morning. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we promise it will be worth it!
Front room of locker room
As our flooring crew gets to work in the ladies’ side, Tom and Mark will be moving over to the men’s locker room to get to work on re-leveling the floor. Once that work is complete, the flooring crew can then move over to the men’s side and get to work there as well. We still expect this work to take all of next week.
Special thanks to Clever Fox Painting and Barre Tile for all the beautiful work!
And we can’t forget about the Fire Studio! We are waiting on delivery of the heating panels so we can get that room ready to go. The space is looking great, though, and we will be laying down a nice new floor in the Fire Studio as well. We expect classes in that space will start as soon as this work is complete.
