Challenge Court Guidelines

  1. The Challenge Court is an extension of the other courts at the same designated level
  2. Games are always played to 11, win by 2 with a cap at 13
  3. The “50/50” Rule is always in effect – no targeting or avoiding specific player
  4. The winning team stays on the court and plays the next challenging team
  5. The winning team gets to choose if they stay together or split
  6. After 2 wins in a row the winning team must relinquish the court and re-challenge
  7. Players can move freely to the other designated level courts at any time

The 50/50 Rule

In the spirit of good sportsmanship, the 50/50 rule is a practice whereby your shot distribution throughout a game or match is fairly evenly distributed to both of the players on the other side of the net. There is no targeting of weaker players, or avoidance of stronger players.

This rule shall be in effect at GMCF in all games outside of tournament play, unless all 4 players agree otherwise.
