VT MLP consists of three separate team events of three different levels – Foundation, Challenger and Premier. It will use the MLP format of 4 person teams, consisting of 2 women and 2 men, playing a round robin against the other teams within a 4 hour time frame. Each match will consist of 2 games of gender doubles, 2 games of mixed doubles, and 1 game of mixed singles.

Prior to the event there will be a draft where designated captains choose their rosters in rounds.

The general ranges of player ratings for each level are as follows:

Foundation: 3.0 to 3.75

Challenger: 3.75 to 4.25

Premier: 4.25+

Players can choose their division regardless of their current rating. Unrated players may register in the division of their choosing. Non-members may register.
