“O-Team” employees are organized, friendly, motivating and team-oriented. They are happy to help members have consistently successful workout experiences by greeting them and addressing their needs with the utmost professionalism, kindness and care.
O-Team employees are responsible for helping members navigate and participate in the activities offered at GMCF. This includes checking in members in a friendly and positive manner, processing payments, leading guest tours, keeping the exercise spaces orderly, and other duties as assigned.
What you’ll do as an O-Team Member:
– Open and close the facility (if scheduled for that duty) in a safe, efficient manner by following established procedures
– Monitor check-ins
– Manage phone inquiries and assist callers according to the company’s procedures
– Process monetary transactions on the point of sale system
– Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the equipment and group exercise environments, both in the fitness and aquatics areas
– Move the pool lane lines according to the daily schedule of classes, lap swimming, and open swim times
– Respond to member requests, inquiries, and concerns ensuring they get addressed in an effective, prompt and friendly manner
– Communicate well with fellow O-Team members as well as the Operations Director
– Work when scheduled and adhere to company advanced notice policies
– Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Director

American Red Cross-certified Lifeguards ensure the safety and comfort of swimmers at GMCF’s six-lane indoor swimming pool, which plays host to a wide variety of programming and an equally diverse population of visitors. Among other times, GMCF employs lifeguards during group and private swim lessons, Open Swim hours, private events, summer camps and certification classes.
What a Lifeguard does at GMCF:
- Surveils and monitors the Aquatics Area to ensure the safety and security of all visitors
- Performs rescue and/or assistance operations when required and in accordance with with training
- Administers first aid when required and in accordance with training
- Enforces facility rules and regulations while maintaining GMCF’s high standards for customer service and satisfaction
- Interacts and collaborates with the Operations Team to ensure smooth operation of programs and transitions between activities
- Performs basic cleaning and maintenance on Aquatics equipment & facilities
- Interfaces with GMCF members and customers
- Performs related duties as required.

What a Personal Trainer does at GMCF:
- Organize and schedule a clientele base while providing a high level of quality instruction.
- Plan and organize individualized and small group training sessions.
- Establish positive public relations with the GMCF community.
- Resolve simple concerns in matters related to personal training and the Fitness Floor.
- Enforce safety standards and operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
- Help organize and assist in the development of special programs, activities, or instruction.
- Sell Personal Training packages and memberships through Club Automation.
- Work with the Director of Training to improve and refine individual skills related to delivering effective sessions to various age groups and skill levels.

Water Safety Instructors at GMCF enjoy flexible schedules designed according to their own availability. They work closely with students and their families, developing long-lasting and meaningful relationships, in a friendly, motivating and team-oriented environment.
American Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructors provide quality swimming and water safety instruction here at the GMCF pool. We hire experienced swim instructors to help children and adults of all ages develop proper swimming techniques and skills. Swim instructors are offered the opportunity to teach to individuals, small groups or larger groups with a team. It is important for us to provide the best experience for our community members and we aim to offer sessions and classes at convenient times throughout the week, year round.
What a WSI does at GMCF:
– Plans and organizes personal class teaching outlines, methods and goals that support the general teaching outlines provided by the Aquatics Coordinator and the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program.
– Organizes and directs activities of assigned students in order to provide a high level of quality instruction for all students.
– Establishes positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
– Resolves simple public complaints in matters related to swimming instruction and refers other complaints to the Aquatics Director.
– Enforces pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
– Helps organize and assists in the development of special programs, activities or instruction.
– Completes and submits records and documentation of completed lessons to the Aquatics Director.
– Works with the Aquatics Director on an on-going basis to upgrade, improve and refine individual teaching skills related to teaching effective swimming lessons to various age groups and various skill levels.
– Performs related duties as required.

Green Mountain Community Fitness is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Summer Camp Manager to oversee our exciting week-long summer camps for children ages 5-11. As the Summer Camp Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for both new and returning campers each week. The Camp Manager oversees all operational aspects of the camp, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role includes managing staff, coordinating activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, and handling administrative duties.
What a Camp Manager does at GMCF:
- Assist with training camp counselors.
- Ensure staff are following all camp policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Plan, organize, and oversee camp programs and activities.
- Ensure a wide range of age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging activities.
- Implement safety protocols for campers and staff.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the camp facilities including activity areas, dining areas, outdoor space, and restrooms.
- Serve as a point of contact for camper parents and guardians, addressing any questions, concerns, or feedback.
- Prepare and maintain camp schedules, reports, and other documentation.
- Foster a sense of community and inclusivity within the camp.
Skills for success:

Special Requirements:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in camp management, camp counseling, or youth program management.
- Experience with staff management and leadership roles.
