Come out for Community Weekend!
Mark Your Calenders! On June 7-10 GMCF will be hosting the Spring Open Door Community Weekend to raise money for our Open Door Scholarship Fund!
This weekend will host many fun events to raise money and awareness of the Open Door Fund. From June 7-10, the lobby will hold a Silent Auction where you can bid on incredible goods, crafts, and services from local businesses, artists, and members! And a bake sale where you can purchase some delicious treats to accompany your post workout coffee or tea!
On Saturday June 8 we will be hosting a special partner WOD in our classes to honor Andrew McHugh, whose legacy is the foundation of the Open Door Fund. Stick around after your workout because we will be hosting a BBQ and community picnic open to all, with burgers and lawn games and the opportunity to relax and share time with members of this wonderful community.
All money raised throughout the weekend will support the Open Door Scholarship Fund. The Open Door Scholarship Fund provides crucial financial assistance to open GMCF’s doors to community members who otherwise would not have the resources to join us. To learn more about the fund please visit Open Door Scholarship or email Sara Kruger at [email protected]
We are seeking donations from businesses and individuals alike to feature in our silent auction on June 7-10 to Benefit the Open Door Scholarship fund.
Do you own or are you connected with a small business that can donate a product or service to our auction? Do you make beautiful crafts or have a skill you would be interested in donating? Your contribution could be a product, service, gift certificate, or any other item you would like to showcase. We are asking for a minimum value of $25 for all donated items.
If you are not able to donate to the silent action, are you a baker or chef and would like to donate baked goods or items to our bake sale? Whatever you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
Your support can make a real difference! The Open Door Scholarship Fund provides crucial financial assistance to open GMCF’s doors to people who want to participate in our programs, but lack the resources to do so. In addition to helping this important cause, all auction items will be prominently displayed in GMCF’s busy entry area along with materials highlighting donor businesses’ offerings and contact information. Thus, if you are donating on behalf of a small business, the silent auction is a great opportunity for exposure for your business!
To contribute an item or service to our silent auction, to donate to our bake sale, or learn more about our Community Weekend fundraiser please contact Sara Kruger. [email protected]
