A new class has been added to the pool schedule on Mondays and Saturdays at 8:00 AM!
Streamline is an aquatics class for adults who would like to gain knowledge and confidence in the pool. Whether you are swimming for recreation, well-being, socialization, fitness or flow, this class will help you gain a measure of comfort and competence.
We will investigate breath control, swimming on front and back and learning the 4 competitive strokes. We will also introduce lane swimming etiquette, workout terminology/conventions and the use of equipment. We will also cover safety skills and behaviors for your own recreation (to use with yourself and your families).
Each 45-minute class, led by an American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor or USMS certified swim coach, will consist of warm-up, focused drills and skill work and a workout which can be adapted.
Participants must:
Be able to swim 25 yards (1 length) without a break (any technique)
Be comfortable in deep water
Be able to submerge completely
Be willing to put their face in the water while swimming
