Hello GMCF family!
March is very much here and we are muck-boot deep in spring activities. From events already in progress, to programs on the not-so-distant horizon, there’s lots to talk about!
Have you had a chance to witness the Squadapalooza event yet? For the last two weeks more than 30 GMCF athletes of all ages and fitness levels have been gathering together to put their training to the test in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Each Thursday, we unveil a new workout challenge that gets everyone buzzing, and on Friday nights the energy peaks as athletes unite to do the work together. These gatherings are filled with camaraderie, empowerment and a lot of cheering. We’re halfway through the challenge, but it’s not too late to join in on the fun. With two more Friday nights left, why not swing by the gym and see what it’s all about.
Speaking of halfway, we are fast approaching the spring equinox, and as days grow longer and brighter we want to help you harness the momentum of your indoor training sessions. Whether you have your eye on the trails, bike paths, open water, roads or outdoor courts, you can be ready to seize the moment when the snow thaws and the ground dries out. Check out the exciting upcoming programs and events we have lined up – There’s truly something for everyone!
Everyday Stronger,
Cady

EV Chargers are Up and Running
|
Two parking spots located in the top parking lot
|
GMCF has invested in two EV charging stations which are now operating in the upper lot. These are pay-per-use stations that have their rate set about 15% below market pricing and we hope that our EV-driving members can get some use out of them while at the gym.
These chargers use the ViaLynk app (use the QR Code on units to download) or the ChargeHub app. We ask that non-EV cars please steer clear of these two parking spots to keep them open for charging.

Pickleball Meltdown Fundraiser
|
Saturday/Sunday, April 12 + 13
|
GMCF is hosting our first annual charity tournament. Proceeds will benefit the Capstone “Fuel Your Neighbor” campaign. It gets pretty cold up here in Vermont and this campaign provides heating assistance and food to families and individuals in our region who might need some help.
The format of the tournament will be a scramble-style doubles tournament, which means you’ll register as an individual and then be partnered with other players at your skill level. Each player will get 9 games of play and there will be raffles and other opportunities to donate above and beyond the $40 entry fee.
All proceeds go to the “Fuel Your Neighbor” campaign as GMCF is donating the court time and resources to run this charitable event.
