1 Mile PR at 40+

Christina K’s best mile time in high school was 7:16. Fast forward a few decades later, now in her 40’s, she just ran a 6:06 mile. How is this possible? Strength training. In order to run faster, you have to produce more power with each step. More power requires more muscular strength. Christina has spent the better part of the last year consistently working on a strength training program, customized for her by GMCF Personal Training. Despite being interrupted by a medical issue, she gradually worked her way into a consistent training schedule. Now the sky’s the limit.
