We are excited to announce a change to our popular Fit4Life programming starting in January. Mondays and Tuesdays during the regular Fit4Life schedule, will now be strength-focused classes, while keeping our regular Fit4Life programming Wednesday through Friday. Each Monday and Tuesday session transforms your usual class into a targeted strength-building workout. Every month, we will introduce a new strength exercise focus—providing variety and an opportunity to gain strength, improve technique, and build confidence in a specific movement pattern.
Strength training uses resistance (such as free weights, barbells, or body weight) to challenge muscles in ways that help preserve and increase strength over time. For many adults—especially as we age—this type of training offers important health benefits. Research shows that strength training stimulates bone-forming cells, helps increase bone density, and reverses age-related changes in muscles—all key considerations for aging adults staying active and independent. Whether you are new to strength training or or continuing your practice, this change to the Fit4Life programming offers a safe and effective path to greater strength and everyday vitality.
