GMCF is stoked to be hosting its first regular season tournament with our super-fun Mash-up format on November 1st and 2nd. No need to find a partner – just register yourself as an individual player and let the tournament structure be your guide! You are guaranteed 6 games to 11 (with a 12 minute time cap), and most players will get 9 or more games!
This format has groups of 4 individuals starting every hour through the day. Athletes will play 3 games in their group, one with each person, and then their record and point totals define how they proceed into the next hour, with new people. After 2 hours of play, 1/4 of each starting group will be done, but if you continue to place well in your pools you get to keep playing! The trick is that the tournament is seeded so that each hour higher rated players enter the game so you’ve got to fend off the challengers as they rise through the ranks.
Saturday is marked for players 2.5 to 4.0 and Sunday is 4.0 and up. And while those are wide ranges, the format has you starting the day and playing most of your games with players of a similar level. Your start time will be based on where you think you are in each of those ranges, with the lower end starting in the morning and higher-level players starting as late as 3 pm (this is dependent on total registrations.)
Register using the link below, or by calling our Front Desk at 802-223-6161 and letting them know if you are a Saturday or a Sunday player. Entry is $40 and pool start times will be announced a few days prior to the event. GMCF members can also register via the Member App or Portal.
NOTE: All players will be required to have a DUPR account prior to the day of tournament and all scores will be logged into the DUPR platform. You do not have to have an existing rating to register, and if you do not feel that your rating is currently accurate please contact Nick at [email protected].
