Drawing is a gateway to open your vision, slow down, and get present in nature. In this 4-part series, you will step into nature and hike around the GMCF outdoor campus. We will observe plants, paths, trees, fields, and forest. Students will learn simple “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” techniques to get started into the world of drawing, seeing, and connecting with nature. Students will create a nature journal and each class will experiment with a different sensory walking practice.
This class uses drawing as tool for observation and emphasizes process over product; so no drawing experience needed! The overall class format is for beginners, however the class is customized for one-on-one instruction; so all students engage on their own level. Leave your cell phones and obligations at home and come walk with us!
