Have you felt that shift into summer? For some of us, it arrives with the first hours spent tending the garden. For others, it’s when family schedules settle into a different rhythm, school’s out, or the longer days actually start feeling warm enough to enjoy.
It’s also the time of year when many of us get to put our training to use. Whether that’s tackling hiking trails, lining up at local races, spending a day on the golf course, exploring Vermont’s lakes and rivers, or simply keeping up with life’s adventures, we hope the strength and confidence you’ve built here carries with you wherever summer takes you. Our ENDURANCE Team has been busy savoring the outdoors—read on for more about their adventures.
At GMCF, we’re thrilled to welcome the Vermont Mountaineers team to their summer training center as they head into the 2026 season. We’d love to see you at our sponsored game night on June 26th! And, before long, we’ll also be filling our spaces with the energy and excitement that come with our GMCF Kids summer camps.
June also brings a little bit of organized chaos as we welcome new equipment to our fitness floor. Next week, June 8-12, will be “moving week” around the gym, with old equipment heading out and new equipment rolling in. We’ll do our best to minimize any disruption to your workouts and appreciate your patience as we make these exciting improvements. (Read our blog for more info on what’s coming.)
No matter what your summer looks like, we hope to be part of it!
Everyday Stronger,
|
P.S. We will be open regularly-scheduled hours on Friday, July 3rd and closed all day Saturday, July 4th. Happy Independence Day!

The GMCF ENDURANCE Team continues to find success and, more importantly, fun in its Spring adventures at Richard’s Ride, The Dandelion Run, and The Vermont City Marathon.
Teammates Stephen Brown, Hannah Brown and Coach Steve Maas recently rode Richard’s Ride, a charity fundraiser ride that covers 71 miles of beautiful VT roads. Stephen, Hannah, and Steve joined Christopher McWilliams, Esther Erbe, Cristine Maloney and GMCF Coaches Harlow Carpenter and Dana McCarthy at the Dandelion Run in Derby, VT. And Nick Young tackled the 13.1 half-marathon relay at the VT City Marathon.
