GMCF NEWSLETTER | NOVEMBER 2026

|
|
|
November is here with its shorter days, unseasonably warm temps and that familiar shift toward finding more ways to stay active indoors. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of opportunities to move, connect, and challenge yourself here at GMCF!
This month, we’re also putting our community spirit to work with a November Food Drive! We’re collecting non-perishable food items through the end of the month and will be making regular deliveries to those in need. With recent changes to food assistance programs, this mission feels especially important heading into winter. If November goes well, we may just keep it going all season long!
Our Help Float Our Boat Launch Party and fundraiser will be here in just a few weeks—tickets are on sale now and we want you to grab yours for a fun evening of activities, interactive exhibits, giveaways, and more. I’ve heard from many of you that you’ll be there, so be sure to purchase your tickets soon—the two-person discount won’t be available at the door.
We have several teams signed up for the first-ever All Night ROWdown, and if you want to check off a challenge on your bucket list (and get a competition t-shirt!), sign up here! If you want to participate but don’t have a full team of four, email me—I have a partial team looking for another teammate.
Here’s to a November filled with movement, generosity, and finding ways to make our community stronger, together!

8-session series starts January 6th
|
This small-group series is designed specifically for queer and gender-diverse youth. The program creates an affirming, non-competitive space where participants can explore movement, build strength, and develop a more grounded, empowered relationship with their bodies. All movements are offered with options, and rest is always respected.
The focus is not on changing bodies—but on helping participants feel at home in their bodies, develop awareness, and experience movement as a source of strength, agency, and joy.

Schedule: WED, 4-5 pm & SUN 11:15 am-12:15 pm Cost: Free of charge (limited enrollment)

Our community is the backbone of GMCF and we’d love to showcase your wares in our upcoming silent auction and raffle.
We will be featuring the silent auction in the GMCF lobby leading up to the Help Float Our Boat Launch Party to benefit Team Rising Tide. We’re looking to keep it local—you’re the ones who show up and it’s a way we can make sure that we spread the word about your products, services, and other impacts in our community.
